2nd Annual Home for the Holiday's event
Talk about an amazing event! We had over 175 people show up to our second annual Home for the Holidays event on December 1st 2006!~ It was a fantastic night with music, raffles (thanks to Mary and Carol), beautful artwork (thanks to Mayu Ebina Demiankun@hotmail.com) and the most fantastic food (thanks to Ruth and Lisa). Our amazing volunteers built an incredible event and everyone had an amazing time! Best of all we raised about $20,000 for the dogs!
Thank you to our corporate sponsor, Pall Corporation and our wine donor, Miskeit Wines Ltd!

1st Annual Howl-O-Ween Ball with Witches in Bikinis
Witches in Bikinis joined Stray from the Heart in our 1st Annual Howl-O-Ween Ball! A bewitching kitsch cabaret with bikini clad witches singing and dancing along to great Halloween masterpieces like "Video Vixen Vampire" & "Party Like A Chimpanzee", is helping save strays with a performance devoted to all the devilish dogs out there looking for homes! So get yourself a black martini, pop in the WIB CD and then sit back and bask in the bewitching sounds and the boo-tiful girls. All proceeds went to saving dogs! Pictures from the event coming soon!
Name our Mascot Contest
You have all seen him in and around our emails, invitations and newsletters for years, but it was never official. Well, now it's time to officially announce our Stray from the Heart mascot joining the family! What better way to do that, than to let you, our extended Stray from the Heart family, name him? So we did and you voted for JAK!
"Be a Part of it": Volunteer Drive

Broadway Barks 8
We hope you got to meet a few of our adorable adoptables at the 2006 Broadway Barks! Created by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, this is a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York animal shelters. On July 8, 2006, at Shubert Alley, between Broadway & 8th Ave and 44th & 45th street, New York City, Stray from the Heart joined other non-profit dog rescue organizations in search of dog adopters and foster care givers at the 8th annual Broadway Barks.
