Thank you all for making our Third annual Home for the Holidays event such an amazing sucess on December 5th 2007!~ We had thte pleasure of enjoying our party at Guest House this year (right next door to the other location from last year of Home) and had the most brilliant food ever(thanks to Ruth Manson). We had a brilliant list of angels amd event committee members that included Ruth Manson, Ila King, Sofya Polyakov, Lavinia Lowerre, Ashley Wareham, Mike Wachs and so many more. Please check out the complete list and more details about the 3rd Annual Stray from the Heart Home for the Holidays event. Best of all we raised close to $15,000 for the dogs again this year!

"Project RUFFway" Charity Fashion Show
There are no bones about it, this Fashion Show was the must-attend show of the season. We want to thank everyone who joined us for a wonderful night of food, drinks, the best dressed dogs and bachelors in New York who helped us raise over $20,000 this night! The event included a silent auction, complimentary 'Hair of The Dog' cocktails, champagne, and a luxury-packed gift bag ensuring a night of fun, "Puparazzi" and philanthropy, with music by DJ Miss Siagons. Very special guests for the evening were our incredible host Tim Gunn, actress and model Beth Ostrosky, bachelor Lorenzo Borgese, Ch. 2's John Bolaris and more glitterati then you can shake a champagne cocktail at!

33rd Annual NYC Village Halloween Parade
WOW!! What more can I say... but WOW! What an amazing experience and our very first at that! Stray from the Heart has never walked in the parade before, and can I just say it was quite the spectical. New York Tails Magazine (pick up your copy today at your favorite pet place) invited us to join them in a journey through the fantastic, and might I say if you have never been out to the Halloween Parade in New York City, well.. it's a sight to behold to say the least! You MUST check out these photos!

1st Annual Howl-O-Ween Ball with Witches in Bikinis
Witches in Bikinis joined Stray from the Heart in our 1st Annual Howl-O-Ween Ball! A bewitching kitsch cabaret with bikini clad witches singing and dancing along to great Halloween masterpieces like "Video Vixen Vampire" & "Party Like A Chimpanzee", is helping save strays with a performance devoted to all the devilish dogs out there looking for homes! So get yourself a black martini, pop in the WIB CD and then sit back and bask in the bewitching sounds and the boo-tiful girls. All proceeds went to saving dogs! Pictures from the event coming soon!

Name our Mascot Contest
You have all seen him in and around our emails, invitations and newsletters for years, but it was never official. Well, now it's time to officially announce our Stray from the Heart mascot joining the family! What better way to do that, than to let you, our extended Stray from the Heart family, name him? So we did and you voted for JAK!

"Be a Part of it": Volunteer Drive
What a great turnout for our volunteer drive hosted at McCarthy's and Bourbon Street Bar this last week. Thank you all for coming and signing up to help save the strays each in your own way! Pictures from the event coming soon!

Broadway Barks 8
We hope you got to meet a few of our adorable adoptables at the 2006 Broadway Barks! Created by Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore, this is a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York animal shelters. On July 8, 2006, at Shubert Alley, between Broadway & 8th Ave and 44th & 45th street, New York City, Stray from the Heart joined other non-profit dog rescue organizations in search of dog adopters and foster care givers at the 8th annual Broadway Barks.
