LETTER FROM HOME:
...it's great to know that another Ecua-dog is home! We are fine. We have linked up with a group -- 3 other women and their dogs -- in Central Park every Sunday morning. I have known one of the women since my first dog Zach, and the second, since Harry.
We all walk in our own directions, then meet for coffee and croissants (for the dogs!) around 8:30. It is a fun group. Chris' dog, Aki, is a Leonmeister -- something like that -- she weighs over 100 lbs. Georgia's is an older Tibetan Terrier ( reminds me of Zach) and Elizabeth's dog, Pluto, is a mix of Vishlu(??) and he's about Maji's age and FULL of energy!! Maji gets along with all of them, and she showed her stuff this morning! A couple other dogs came by and they were playing and making a hullaballoo. Aki, Cosmo, and Pluto were watching, and so were we humans. But Maji took the opportunity to reach up on to the table and ever so delicately -- without moving the bag it was in -- extract the cinnamon twist I had brought for us all! The other ladies -- and I -- couldn't believe it. She'd been sitting so patiently for handouts. "Look at her!" they said, "She's so smart!!She's an opportunist!" well, I know it's a survival skill, but she is smart, and she is sweet.
I told you, my Dad is hemiplegic. In this image she's resting her head on his paralyzed leg. She's something else!! Thank you again for her.
Love,
Sandra and Maji
