Chester and his 5 Year Aniversery

Chester the Shepard mix

Chester is loved!

Chester was found in the Bronx, living a truly sad life as an abused dog. Luckily he was rescued by Stray from the Heart and later by a compassionate family who was willing to take a chance on this amazing dog. His new loving family writes:

Letters from home:

When I got Chester, he was a terrified animal. Slowly but surely, as dogs will do, he began to trust and to open up. Now, he's a veritible socialite. My daughter and I taught him to retrieve. Amazing!

We also took him to the beach for the first time a few years back. At first, he'd only bark at it. I guess he didn't know what else to do. Now, he's ready to go at the drop of a hat. He loves the beach. He could stay out there all day. And night.

He's such a sweet, affectionate dog. I love, love Chester.
